Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing term unless you cancel before the renewal date; you can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Prices shown are in United States Dollars (USD) and exclude any applicable value-added tax, goods and services tax, sales tax, or similar consumption tax, which is calculated at checkout based on your billing address. Subscription terms, auto-renewal, price changes, and cancellation are governed by Section 7.2 of the Terms of Service. Consumers resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland have a statutory right of withdrawal under Section 7.3 of the Terms of Service; please read Section 7.3 before subscribing, as digital services that begin immediately on purchase may extinguish that right. Before you buy
A single user interaction window. For Text Monitor, that is one writing session, from the first keystroke until submit or leave. For the Pixel, it is one browsing session of continuous activity with a 30-minute timeout. One essay is one Text Monitor session; one visitor is one Pixel session.
On Starter, detection pauses after 10,000 sessions. Your site keeps working; new sessions are not scored. On Pro, additional usage is $1.00 per 1,000 sessions. Enterprise and academic plans are not metered per session.
Yes. Upgrade at any time and the change is prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing cycle. There is no lock-in on monthly plans.
You choose US or EU at account creation, which determines where your data is stored and processed. It matters for data-residency requirements such as GDPR: data never leaves your region, and the choice is permanent. Enterprise can run separate regional accounts on one consolidated invoice.
Academic pricing is a flat annual fee based on institution size: $2,500 per year under 5,000 FTE, $10,000 per year for 5,000 to 25,000 FTE, and a custom quote above 25,000 FTE. All academic plans, for K-12 schools, colleges, and universities, cover every session with no metering or overages. See the academic tiers above.
